What is CLIMACTION?

CLIMACTION is a modular, site-adaptable performance project that puts art and participation at the heart of climate action.
Each edition is co-created with local communities, youth, students, artists, and local climate activists — making every performance unique and every voice heard.

Our mission: Inspire urgent, inclusive climate action through creativity, connection, and collective storytelling.

How You Shape CLIMACTION:
1. Join:
We invite local young people of all backgrounds to take part – with an interest in the performing arts/ dance/ physical theatre/ music/ butoh/ mime/ circus/ theatre.
2. Co-Create:
Through workshops, participants share stories, ideas and creative skills. They collaborate to co/create a participatory performance that engages with audiences in playful ways.
3. Perform:
Together, we stage a participatory public event—live and online. We invite local climate activists to inspire us through their work. We engage with local communities to take part in the participatory event.
4. Legacy:
Each community’s contributions are archived and celebrated, inspiring future editions.
